WEST END CENTER SPOOKY SPRINT
Join us to volunteer at the West End Center on October 25 from 7:45am - 12:00pm for their family-friendly 5K and costume walk/run Spooky Sprint fall fundraiser at Wasena ParkWasena. Volunteers were serve as course marshals and Bouncy House managers. This is the same organization the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke supports with our annual Holiday Party. Should be fun for all.
DOCUMENTARY MOVIE SCREENING
Join the Junior League of Roanoke, members of our Kiwanis Club, and the public, for a free screening at the Grandin Theater on September 16 at 7:00pm of the movie Join or Die. The movie Centers on America's civic unraveling through the journey of scientist Robert Putnam, whose research on the decline in American community lights a path out of our democracy's present crisis. The Junior League of Roanoke Valley is excited to participate in the third annual International Find the Good Day, created by the Association of Junior Leagues International, is dedicated to finding the good in yourself, your community, and the world around you.
