Volunteers were serve as course marshals and Bouncy House managers. This is the same organization the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke supports with our annual Holiday Party. Should be fun for all.

The movie Centers on America's civic unraveling through the journey of scientist Robert Putnam, whose research on the decline in American community lights a path out of our democracy's present crisis. The Junior League of Roanoke Valley is excited to participate in the third annual International Find the Good Day, created by the Association of Junior Leagues International, is dedicated to finding the good in yourself, your community, and the world around you. Meet at 6:30pm on August 22 for dinner. Please RSVP by August 20. As a final wrap to a wonderful year let's have a cookout for past presidents and spouse/guest. There will be hamburgers on the grill and ice tea chilling. Please bring a side, vegetable or desert and your favorite adult beverage. Don't forget your spouse or guest.

Join us at Carilion Children's Tanglewood on August 9 from 10:00am-2:000pm for Cuts with Cops. This incredible partnership with Roanoke County Police, Roanoke County Sheriff's Office, and Carilion Clinics helps hundreds of local kids access free haircuts, back-to-school supplies, and free shoes. We will be distributing backpacks with back-to-school supplies.
