Join us for a social time on November 17 at the Adult Care Center of Roanoke Valley. We will meet at 11:00am to set up, serve, and join the participants to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. The Kiwanis Club of Roanoke was instrumental in the founding of this community resource 40 years ago, and have been actively supporting it ever since. Wear a blue Kiwanis cap if you can.
Volunteer to help wrap gifts for children at the West End Center for Youth. This is a fun and popular way to get into the holiday spirit while helping others. We will meet at the SERVEPRO of Roanoke County located at 1301 Southside Drive in Salem to begin wrapping at 6:00pm on Tuesday December 12. Each wrapper will be given wrapping supplies and a bag of gifts to be wrapped or a specific young boy or girl. Gifts will be given to the children at the Holiday Party held during the December 13 Kiwanis Club meeting.

The annual grant proposal period is open from July 1 thru August 15. The Kiwanis Club of Roanoke funds worthy projects in the Greater Roanoke Valley that support our mission of serving the children, older adults, and disadvantaged in our community. We also assist organizations that promote the environment and conserve our Valley’s natural resources. We give strong consideration to those projects where our Club’s members can get involved and invest their time, talents, and sweat equity. If you have a project that meets these criteria, you are invited to apply for a grant. Check our Grants website page for additional information.
