NATURE PARK GARDEN PLANTING

Meet from 9:00am-12:00pm on October 26th at the Kiwanis Nature Park to help with some Fall effort in the pollinator garden; Native Plants IN and Invasives OUT. Registration will occur on site. There will be a big “Larry the Roanoke Logperch” banner marking the spot – (that promotes Larry’s message of Only Rain Down the Drain). Volunteers will be awarded a copy of our children’s book (in hot demand for how it delights youngsters and educates them about the plight of the threatened little darter fish that calls the Roanoke River its home). Bring gloves and a shovel if you have them. Muffins will be provided.
The access from the playground or Goodwill area has been blocked due to the construction on the Goodwill and Melrose Library parking lot. This is the reason we are directing you to use the entrance facing the side of Forest Park Academy’s side parking lot. Forest Park Academy has a driveway off of Melrose Academy.
This should be a fun and productive activity for all ages.
