MILL MOUNTAIN STAR DEDICATION CEREMONY

We are looking for a big crowd of Kiwanis members and the public to attend the Mill Mountain Star Dedication ceremony. We will be unveiling to the public the new plaque honoring Susan Williams (the Executive Director of LOA who was attacked and killed in February 2025 while helping someone in need).

Susan spent her life in service to those less fortunate, the forgotten, and the underserved. Her dedication to supporting the
vulnerable population shone through her passionate advocacy for Meals on Wheels. She championed efforts to ensure that homebound individuals received nutritious meals and also a vital social connect. May Susan’s legacy inspire future generations  to lead with passion and serve their community with unwavering  dedication

The Mayor and other dignitaries are expected. The press is invited. The dedication ceremony begins at 10:00am at the Star visitor platform.

This is an excellent opportunity to invite a guest to see some of what makes our Club special.
