DESCRIPTION:Join us to volunteer at the West End Center on October 25 from 7:45am – 12:00pm for their family-friendly 5K and costume walk/run Spooky Sprint fall fundraiser at Wasena ParkWasena. Volunteers were serve as course marshals and Bouncy House managers. This is the same organization the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke supports with our annual Holiday Party. Should be fun for all.

SUMMARY:Run for Refugees
DESCRIPTION:Support worldwide refugees coming to Roanoke by running or walking in this Welcoming Week 2022 inaugural event on September 9. All proceeds go to support families currently being evacuated to Roanoke. \nThe kids’ 1K race will begin at 6:00PM\, and the 5K fun run/walk will start at 6:20PM. \nAll are welcome. Registrants before August 24 will receive T-shirts and finisher medals for all participants. The top runners in each age group will receive prizes as well. Kid-friendly activities include the kids’ 1K\, face painting\, and free books!  \nPacket pickup will be at the Main Library (706 S. Jefferson Street) from 12-5 on Thursday\, September 8th and Friday\, September 9th. You can also pick your packet up between 5:00 and 6:00 on Friday\, September 10th\, at Wasena Park. \nSee link for additional information and to register:   \n
