SUMMARY:EARTH DAY BOOTH
DESCRIPTION:Our Environment committee is partnering with Clean Valley Council to celebrate Earth Day on April 19 from 10am – 3:00pm with a Kiwanis booth at the celebration event in historic Grandin Village. This is an exciting outreach activity to share information about our Club’s environmental efforts and our Nature Park. Larry the Logperch will be featured. Volunteers are being recruited for shifts to staff our booth. \nThis vibrant gathering is dedicated to promoting sustainability and building community connections. Featuring eco-conscious vendors\, talented local artisans\, diverse businesses\, live entertainment\, and engaging activities for children\, the event inspires environmental stewardship and fosters a sense of togetherness. The 2025 Earth Day theme\, “Our Power\, Our Planet\,” emphasizing the collective responsibility to transition to renewable energy sources and create a sustainable future.

SUMMARY:WASENA BRIDGE PARTY PROMOTION
DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Kiwanians as we participate in the Wasena Bridge Party on April 13 to promote our Kiwanis Club. Volunteer shifts will run from 3:00-5:30pm and 5:30-8:00pm. We will perform volunteer activities (such as alcohol ticket sales/ID check\, beer pouring\, perimeter security) and we will have a booth to promote our Club. This event is part of our Club’s efforts to Outreach into our community. \nWe are supporting the Wasena Neighborhood Association to celebrate the closing of the bridge in preparation for its replacement. This party will take place on the bridge; it will be closed for the day just for the party. The celebration will be a fun filled family event with activities for the kids and adults\, music\, and food/beverages; all will have the opportunity to use chalk to draw on the bridge surface. \nAs a bonus\, the new 8-foot Kiwanis Larry the Logperch float will make its debut.
