]]> Meet at 10:00 on January 19th (Martin Luther King day) at the Envision Center located at 2607 Salem Turnpike (a short walk to the Kiwanis Nature Park and the Horton’s Branch watershed). We will use grabbers, trash bags, and vests provided by Clean Valley Council; will finish by 12:00 noon.

This event is being held in partnership with the Envision Center (Roanoke Redevelopment Housing Authority), Shiloh Baptist Church, SERV, Clean Valley Council, our district’s Key Clubs, and the Aktion Club. Invite a non-club member to join you.

]]> Come hear the results of the research students at Roanoke College of Environmental Studies performed, under the direction of Dr. Laura Hartman, of the Kiwanis Nature Park. This presentation is being hosted from 6:00-7:30pm on December 3 at the Clean Valley Council as part of their Sustainability Series.

Roanoke College students spent a semester investigating the natural and human elements of the Kiwanis Nature Park. They will share their observations and they will share recommendations.
