DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Kiwanians as we participate in the Daisy Art Parade on April 13 to promote our Kiwanis Club and this year’s KPAD. This is a family fun and easy parade route. We will meet at 11:00am behind the Taubman and proceed down Market Street to Elmwood Park. Come dressed in your Kiwanis shirts and wear a Kiwanis hat or funny/artistic hat. We will march carrying our Kiwanis banner and hand out flyers. This event is part of our Club’s efforts to Outreach into our community. \nAs a bonus\, the new 8-foot Kiwanis Larry the Logperch float will make its debut. \nAfter the parade you can hang out at the park for some activities or go home for a nap before you head over to the Wasena Bridge Party at 3pm.

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Kiwanians as we participate in the Wasena Bridge Party on April 13 to promote our Kiwanis Club. Volunteer shifts will run from 3:00-5:30pm and 5:30-8:00pm. We will perform volunteer activities (such as alcohol ticket sales/ID check\, beer pouring\, perimeter security) and we will have a booth to promote our Club. This event is part of our Club’s efforts to Outreach into our community. \nWe are supporting the Wasena Neighborhood Association to celebrate the closing of the bridge in preparation for its replacement. This party will take place on the bridge; it will be closed for the day just for the party. The celebration will be a fun filled family event with activities for the kids and adults\, music\, and food/beverages; all will have the opportunity to use chalk to draw on the bridge surface. \nAs a bonus\, the new 8-foot Kiwanis Larry the Logperch float will make its debut.

DESCRIPTION:Meet at Hope Tree Family Services picnic shelter off of Oak Lane at 9:00am on May 18. Join kids from the West End Center for a fun time fishing\, and have lunch. Volunteers will sign in the kids\, guide fishing groups\, interact with the kids\, clean fish\, and help with the cookout. Volunteers should wear outdoor fishing/clothing and sturdy shoes. Sunscreen\, hat\, and camera are good ideas.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s Fun Day will be held on Saturday\, June 1 at the Melrose Library and the Envision Center (old Melrose Library) from 11 AM – 3 PM. It will feature multiple agency and organizational activities and entertainment for children and adults\, and food and drink will be provided to an anticipated 1\,000 people in the immediate area. \nTherefore\, we will need 8 – 10 Kiwanians to help with shelter/tent set up and take down\, the distribution of portable cardboard trash cans and other such activities beginning at 8 AM that morning. We also need volunteers throughout the day at a Kiwanis exhibit table and at the Nature Park and the Welcome table. Please sign up for a shift between 8:30 to 11:30; 11:30 to 2:00 or between 1:30 and 3:30. \nFor these purposes\, our volunteer gathering place will be in front of the Melrose Library at 8AM on Saturday\, June 1. \nWe will also need the use of 4 or 5 shelters/tents in an area adjacent to the Envision Center\, so if those are available for use from our membership and friends that day\, that would be extremely helpful. \nHere is the link to the Registration Form: https://forms.office.com/r/urBM79wMdm
